RETRO ARCADE BROADCAST PACKAGE
Read me first, it only takes a minute.

An esports broadcast that looks like an old arcade cabinet: a dark
screen with CRT scanlines, pixel stars and a pixel grid floor,
notched pixel frames and big pixel type. Order is player one in cyan
on the left, Chaos is player two in yellow on the right. Seventeen
scenes, one dock to run them, a pixel block stinger with its own
8-bit sound, chiptune music made for this package, and 8-bit
confetti on the Victory screen.

GETTING IT GOING

1. Unzip it.
Right click the zip, pick "Extract All" and press Extract.
Any folder is fine. Open the new folder.

2. Load the scenes into OBS.
In OBS click Scene Collection, then Import. Press the ... button,
go into the folder you just unzipped and pick
Retro_Arcade_Scene_Collection.json. Make sure it is ticked and press
Import. Then click Scene Collection again and pick
   "Retro Arcade Broadcast".

3. Pick your cams.
Double click Cam 1 and Cam 2 and choose a camera for each.
They are already in the right spot on every cam screen.

4. Add the dock.
Open OBS_GUIDE.html from the folder. Step 3 in it shows your dock
   address with a Copy button.
In OBS click Docks, then Custom Browser Docks.
   Dock Name: Retro Arcade Dock
   URL: paste the address
   Press Apply. Done.

A plain path to controller.html works too, like
   C:\Users\You\Desktop\Retro-Arcade-Package\controller.html
(leave out any " marks). Inside OBS the dock moves itself to the
right address, so it can reach the screens.

OBS_GUIDE.html also shows how to link the dock to OBS (3 clicks) for
scene buttons in the dock.

THE SCENES

In the order of a broadcast: Starting Soon, Intro Video (your own video,
if you have one), Caster Desk (2 cams), Match Up, Head to Head, Draft,
Draft Recap, In Game, Post Game, Post Game Stats, Victory, Interview (1
big cam), Be Right Back, Series Tracker, Bracket, Schedule, and Thanks
for Watching last.

In Game only puts small team plates beside the game's own score bar
and nothing in the corners, so the SMITE 2 spectator view (minimap,
team lists, gold, stats table) stays clear.

SCREENS BLACK?

- Pick "Retro Arcade Broadcast" under Scene Collection.
- Pick the scene file from inside the unzipped folder, not from
Downloads or from inside the zip. If OBS shows a Missing Files box,
that is what happened. Do step 2 again.
- Moved the folder? Do step 2 again from the new place.
- Still black? In OBS go to Settings, Advanced, and under Sources
untick "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration". Press OK and
  restart OBS.

GOOD TO KNOW

- The dock is your remote. Team names, logos, scores, the draft,
caster names, the lower third, schedule and all the screen text live
there. Everything on stream updates as you type.

- The dock runs top to bottom in the order of a broadcast: SET UP
(teams, logos, casters, OBS), then 1 Starting Soon, 2 Intro video, 3
Caster Desk, 4 Sponsors, ad reads and info, 5 Match Up, 6 Picks and
bans, 7 In Game, 8 Post Game (who won, stats, victory, interview), 9
Be Right Back (and the Series Tracker), then REPEAT from 6 for the
next game. After the games: 10 Bracket, 11 Extra stuff (Schedule) and
12 Thanks for Watching. The step buttons at the top jump to each step.
With the dock linked to OBS, the step that is on stream says ON AIR.

- Teams are remembered with their tag, logo and lineup. Next match,
  just type the team name.

- "Order won this game" and "Chaos won this game" add the point and
set the winner on the Post Game screen.

- Draft: type a god and press Enter, it goes into the next pick or
ban. "Game done" saves the picks to the Fearless vault and moves to
  the next game.

- Player names only show in lineups and name bars, never on god cards.

- Logos never move or pulse on any screen.

- If the stream starts lagging, flip on "Performance mode" at the top
of the dock. It stops all the movement so your PC can breathe.

- Bracket: open BRACKET in the dock. Pick a format:
single elimination (2 to 16 teams), double elimination (3 to 8,
with a grand final reset if you want one), Swiss (8 or 16 teams)
or groups (1 to 4 groups). Odd team counts are fine, the top seeds
get a bye. Then pick a layout and a look (Plates, Cards, Outline,
Minimal), and switch on match numbers or a third place match if
you like. Type the teams, then the scores: winners move on by
themselves, and Swiss pairs each round for you with no rematches.
Press LIVE on the match being played. You can keep up to three
brackets, like a Swiss stage and the playoffs, and swap between
  them.

- Series Tracker: a row for every game of the series with both
teams' picks and who won. "Order won this game" and "Chaos won this
game" fill it in. To fix a game, open SERIES TRACKER in the dock and
pick who won it; the score follows.

- Head to Head: each team's logo, name and roster (from the TEAM
ROSTERS box) with the series in the middle. Nothing to type; show it
between games. HEAD TO HEAD in the dock sets its title.

- Post Game Stats: after a game, screenshot the scoreboard page and
the stats page in the post game lobby, then paste or drop both into
POST GAME STATS in the dock. This PC reads the numbers (nothing is
sent anywhere). The scene shows your casters until they are read,
then the stats board covers it. "Back to the casters" takes it off,
"Clear for the next game" empties it. How it works opens a short
  walk through.

- Victory: the winner (Winner in POST GAME, else the series leader)
with the big word, what they won and the score. It plays each time
you switch to the Victory scene; "Replay the victory animation" in
  POST GAME runs it again.

- Sponsors: open SPONSORS in the dock and press Add logos. They show
in a strip on Starting Soon and Be Right Back, a page at a time.
White logos? Pick black boxes behind them (white boxes for dark
  logos).

- Next match from the bracket (in MATCH): puts this series' result in
the bracket, then loads the next match's teams, with their logo, tag
and lineup, on every screen and starts a new series. Press LIVE on a
bracket match first if you want that one next.

- Music: chiptune made for this package. Starting Soon and Thanks for
Watching play an upbeat loop, Be Right Back a calm one, and Victory
a short stage clear tune. MUSIC in the
dock turns it off or sets the volume. In OBS each of those screens
shows up in the mixer with its own sound.

- Intro video: in OBS, double click Intro Video in the Intro Video
scene and pick your video file. It plays from the start each time
you switch to that scene. No video? Skip that scene.

- Want your own song instead? Tick "Music off" in the dock and drag
the song into that scene in OBS.

STINGER SETTINGS

The stinger is already set up for you. If it ever goes missing:

1. In OBS, find the "Scene Transitions" box and press the + under it.
2. Pick "Stinger" and call it Retro Arcade Stinger.
3. Video File: pick RA_Stinger.webm from the media folder in here.
4. Transition Point Type: Time (milliseconds)
5. Transition Point: 560
6. Leave the rest alone and press OK.
7. Pick Retro Arcade Stinger in the Scene Transitions box. Done.
