Scorebug and caster card

An in game overlay that sits on top of the SMITE 2 top bar: team name boxes, series win boxes, five ban slots per side and a credits card that pops in for the casters and crew. Every layout has its own look, sized to sit on the game's top bar. The middle of the game bar is left alone so the gold numbers have room to grow. The controls are already in the panel, in the IN GAME OVERLAY box.

Sample names and bans over a stand in for the game's top bar. The gap in the middle is left open on purpose for the game's gold, score and timer.

  1. In OBS add a Browser Source with the address above. Width 1920, height 1080.
  2. Put it above your game capture, and keep the control panel open from the same site. The panel fills in the team names, series score, bans, casters and crew.
  3. The credits card pops in when the source loads, and again with the panel button "Show the credits card now".
  4. Add ?guides to the end of the address to outline every spot if the game HUD scale is different.

The downloaded file is the same scorebug in one HTML file with your choices built in. It needs the panel on the same web address to show live names, so on its own it shows sample text. The address above is the normal way to use it.

Experimental: screen reading scorebug

A custom scorebug that reads kills, gold, the timer and Gold Fury pips off your game capture and redraws them on a solid bar over the game's own top bar.

How it works

The panel takes the picture from your game capture in OBS and reads the numbers straight off it. Team names, series score and casters come from the panel like every other scene, and a caster bug drops down under it when you want it. It only looks at pixels, the same way OBS does, so nothing touches the game client or anti cheat. Spectator cannot hide the game's top bar, so this bar covers it. Default colors are SMITE blue and red.

Sample numbers over a stand in for the game.

  1. In OBS add a Browser Source with the address above, 1920 x 1080, above your game capture.
  2. In OBS open Tools, WebSocket Server Settings and tick Enable WebSocket server. Copy the password from Show Connect Info. This is only how the panel gets the picture of your game capture.
  3. In the panel tick "I'm using the screen reading scorebug", paste the password and press Connect. It finds your game capture by itself.

Experimental: tuned on a couple of screenshots so far. If a number is wrong, the panel has a Teach box and a way to move the reading box.
